I live in a Kansas University residence hall. If there's ice on my windshield and windows so the parking department can't see my hangtag, can I still get a ticket?
Donna Hultine, assistant director of the parking department, said ticket writers can use their hand-held electronic devices to determine whether your vehicle's license tag is registered with the university, so you shouldn't get a ticket.
However, if you're driving a different car than was registered with the university, you could get a ticket. But Hultine said you could take the ticket to the parking department, update your registration information and have the ticket canceled.
