What is Baldwin's policy requiring landlords to provide off-street parking for tenants?

Baldwin City Administrator Larry Paine said landlords typically are required to provide parking for their tenants either in carports, garages or at the end of the right-of-way on the property.

"This is something we're doing with new developments, but it's hard to make parking where you don't have it," he said.

For example, Paine said the city had to remove two parking stalls near an apartment building west of City Hall when the city's stalls were changed from diagonal to parallel on High Street because of limited sight distance.
