Are city and county commission meetings televised? Are the planning commission meetings televised, too? If so, what channel? If not, why?
"The Lawrence/Douglas County Planning Commission meetings are not televised at this time, and we have no direction from either governing body to begin covering these meetings," said Debbie Van Saun, assistant city manager.
The city commission meetings air on Channel 25 at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Douglas County commissioners have discussed televising their twice-weekly meetings and have hired Gould Evans Associates to explore ideas for remodeling the commission chambers.
