Sound Off
My late mother spoke about Rex Stout, who wrote the Who Dun It series. She said he lived in Eudora or close to Eudora. Could you verify exactly where he lived in Douglas County?
Soundoff didn't have much luck coming up with an exact address, but Stout's family did, in fact, move to this area in the late 1880s.
One biographer says Stout's Quaker parents, John and Lucetta Todhunter, moved from Indiana to Kansas shortly after Stout's birth in 1886. Another biographer says the family moved when Stout was 2 years old.
Stout graduated from Topeka High School and attended Kansas University before joining the Navy in 1906.
