What does the D in D-Day stand for?

It doesn't stand for anything. D-Day is a military term designating the start date for an operation, but in modern history it generally refers to the events of June 6, 1944, which marked the start of the Allied invasion of Europe.

Q: I rode my bike to the new Aquatic Center, and there was no bike stand. What are the requirements for operations like this to have bike stands?

A: Fred DeVictor, director of the city's Parks and Recreation Department, said: "A bike rack has been placed near the entrance of the Indoor Aquatic Center to accommodate bicyclists using that facility."
