How many newspaper stands is Downtown Lawrence going to allow? There are 10 stands at Eighth and Massachusetts.
City Manager Mike Wildgen said: "If they mean Downtown Lawrence Inc., that group doesn't approve rack sites. As you know, racks are allowed on the public row (and) there are no limits by the city as to numbers. We do expect them to be maintained and not hinder pedestrians or vehicle sight distance, etc."
