What are the references to medical emergencies in the ambulance calls?

Medical emergencies can be almost anything, from heart attacks to fainting spells and someone who isn't breathing, said Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical Chief Jim McSwain.

"When dispatchers get a call about a medical problem, they have questions they ask about the problem and follow certain criteria in determining how to handle a problem and who will be dispatched," he said.
