How can I donate to the Free State Firebird statue fund?
Send donations to Firebird Fund-raiser, c/o LFSHS Booster Club, 4700 Overland Drive, Lawrence 66049. Donations are tax-deductible.
For $100, donors can purchase and personalize a "firebrick," which will be laid on the ground near the statue. Donors who contribute $500 or more will have their names engraved on the granite directly beneath the bird.
The statue is part of an effort to spruce up the Free State High School courtyard.
