I'm wondering why the old Arts Center on Ninth Street has never been sandblasted and cleaned up? It looks so dirty and dingy compared to other buildings in the area. Is there any schedule for this to be sandblasted?

"The Carnegie Building will never be sandblasted, as that process would destroy the stone work," City Manager Mike Wildgen said. "In the middle 1980s Larry Flannery donated funds for the stone to be cleaned and tuck- pointed. The stone was cleaned and is likely nearly the same color as the original."
