Can the county's home occupations have advertising signs?
Yes, the regulations do allow one sign per business, but there are guidelines.
For businesses conducted entirely within the home, a sign must not exceed 2 square feet, be nonilluminated and must be mounted flat against the main face of the dwelling. For businesses in an accessory building, a sign must not exceed 4 square feet and must meet the same regulations. Signs for transitional businesses, such as home-based industries, must not exceed 8 square feet and meet the same rules.
A sign can be placed at the driveway entrance if it is not in the road right-of-way. Signs cannot contain any commercial message except the name of the business and hours.
