What is the best strategy to get from Lawrence to the Kansas City International Airport on a Kansas Speedway day?
Kansas Speedway spokesperson Sammie Lukaskiewicz said people should give themselves extra time to get to the airport, but race day traffic is not as hectic as someone might think. She said through traffic is directed to the fast lane on Interstate 70 while race fans stay in the right-hand lanes and get off at Exit 110.
However, Lukaskiewicz said another way to get to the airport is take Kansas Highway 7 north from either I-70 or Kansas Highway 10 and then take Kansas Highway 92 to Interstate 29, which heads to the airport.
