Do widows of veterans lose their VA pension if they remarry?

They did before Oct. 1, 1998. Since then, according to the Department of Veteran Affairs, change in federal law allows VA to resume Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) payments and related benefits to former recipients who lost benefits because of remarriage. For more information about restoring benefits, call the VA at (800) 827-1000.
