What is the difference between dew point and humidity? And can you explain what each is?

According to the National Weather Service, the dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled for water vapor to condense. Relative humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air compared to the amount the air could hold if it was totally saturated. It's expressed as a percentage.
