I am a Douglas County resident, and I was wondering why the zoning director is allowed to use his county-owned vehicle for personal use? I have seen it around town several times.
Douglas County Administrator Craig Weinaug said the county's department heads are not permitted to use county vehicles for personal use. "Some county officials are permitted to drive their vehicles to and from their residence to work, depending on their job responsibilities," he said.
