Where do the trash collectors put all the stuff the students throw out? Is it a place the public can go to salvage some?
City Manager Mike Wildgen said: "Once anything is put into the trash trucks, it is all taken to the Hamm Landfill. We don't have a salvage operation usually it isn't worth the time once it is set out. We have encouraged folks to recycle usable items with the various social service groups, Goodwill agency, etc. The best bets to seek out usable items are places like the Salvation Army facility on Massachusetts Street near Dillons Penn House, etc."
