If the city is short so much money, why isn't it selling advertisement space on the sides of the buses?

Karin Rexroad, the city's public transit administrator, said: "The city felt that advertising should not be considered on the transit system until our identity as the 'T' is established. Once our purchased fixed-route vehicles have been delivered and placed in service, the Public Transit Advisory Committee will review our advertising policy and make a recommendation to the city commission."

City Manager Mike Wildgen added: "Any revenue from transit advertising would stay in the transportation fund and would not be available for other city services."
