A bus driver told me that the police refuse to come out and ticket vehicles that are parked in the downtown bus stop spots. The driver tells me that the police say that by the time they were to get to the stop, the vehicle would be gone. Is this true?

Police Chief Ron Olin said: "It is possible that a bus driver confused parking control (which does not have the authority or responsibility to issue tickets outside of a parking stall or parking lot) with a police officer. Police personnel have responded to complaints from the 'T' about parking issues and written tickets. We also have had several incidents in which complaints were generated but the cars moved before our arrival."
