I'm driving on Kentucky, when I get to St. John's church, and about 50 feet before the school, it says "end of school zone." Shouldn't this be the start of the school zone?
David Woosley, the city's traffic engineer, said: "The purpose of a reduced speed school zone is to slow traffic at the point where students cross the street and are not protected by a stop sign, traffic signal or adult guard. The reduced speed zone on Kentucky Street is provided for the school crosswalk at 13th Street. Once traffic passes the crosswalk, there should not be students crossing midblock and the reduced speed zone is no longer necessary."
