Is there a law in Lawrence against allowing pets to defecate in public places such as parks or jogging trails?
The city code requires pet owners to remove excrement deposited by their pets in the public right-of-way or on someone else's property. Violation of the code is punishable by a fine of not less than $10, plus court costs.
