Are there any plans to install traffic lights at the dangerous intersection of Clinton Parkway and Crossgate Drive?
City Manager Mike Wildgen said that traffic signals should be completed in 2001 as part of the Inverness Park Addition.
Q: I know that Sallie Mae was a good corporate citizen here in Lawrence, but did it receive any tax abatement or other tax-based incentives to attract it to Lawrence in the first place?
A: Sallie Mae did not receive any tax incentives, said City Manager Mike Wildgen. It did not qualify under the constitutional amendment, and neither Sallie Mae nor the building developer asked for industrial revenue bonds.
