<EM>I read an article in the KU newspaper about there being a problem with the tap water. Is the drinking water in Lawrence not safe?</EM>
The drinking water in Lawrence meets and in many cases exceeds the strict regulations established by federal and state water quality standards, said Shari Stamer, city water quality manager. The 1999 Water Quality Report for the City of Lawrence (Consumer Confidence Report) will be sent out with the June water bills. Contact Stamer at 832-7817 for more information.
