Sound Off

In the Dec. 14 J-W, there were pictures of the snow plows on Kasold Drive, a total of six vehicles. Why can't we get the same service on the east side of town?

"The street division and parks crews work very hard to make all of our 260 miles of city streets and other public facilities accessible, passable and clear as possible," City Manager Mike Wildgen said.

"Priority goes first to busy arterial streets and streets near schools, with other residential streets after that. That is true whatever side of town the streets are on. Our crews do an excellent job with the resources available and the challenging weather conditions presented. A snapshot of snow plows at one point in time at one particular location is not representative of snow removal priorities."
