Is it legal for the girls' volleyball coaches at South Junior High to run clinics on school property and receive the payment for that clinic? They are charging $50 per person and advertising it in the school mailing.
Yes, it is legal as long as the coach pays rent to use the facility and obtains insurance. South Junior High volleyball coach Beth Weishaar's camp is scheduled from June 5 to June 8. Incidentally, Kansas basketball coaches Roy Williams and Marian Washington also will be renting SJHS facilities for their camps this summer.
