Audrey England

Memorial services for Audrey Ruth England, 95, Lawrence, will be 10 am, Friday, July 27, 2018, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

Mrs. England died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Medicalodges Eudora Nursing Home.

She was born December 31, 1922, near Edwardsville, Kansas the daughter of Will and Ethel Luther. The family moved to the farm southeast of DeSoto, KS.

Audrey attended Willow Springs School and Graduated from DeSoto High School in 1941. She worked at the DeSoto Telephone office and Sunflower Ordinance Works, where she met and married Harland England in 1945. They resided in DeSoto until 1955 when they moved to Lawrence. They owned and operated a small grocery store which later became Englands Dairy Crème. In 1974 she worked for Lawrence Kmart Store in the food court. She then worked at Munchers part time.

Audrey lost her husband of 50 Years in 1995. She was a member of the OURS Senior Group at Eagles. Audrey is survived by Ron and Rita of Lawrence and Russell of Topeka, six grand children, nine great grand children and three great great grandchildren.
