Some friends and I had a 20-30 second chat with HCBS a while back at Yellow Sub. It was free! Bill Self is as common as pig tracks yet can morph into an elite (he'd hate that word) D-1 coach and then turn around and chat up Williams Funders. This guy is something else. It's great that he's the coach of the Jayhawks.

None. Bill is probably a nice guy, but I don't got anything I want to talk to him about.

What charity? Could I forfeit my time? Coach is great and all, I'm just not into hero worship.

$0.00. Don't know the man. What would I say? I'd have about the same conversation as if I'd randomly picked a number out of the phone book. Me: Hi. Bill: Hi. (awkward silence...) Bill: How are you doing? Me. Good, and you? Bill: Good. (awkward silence...) Me: Cold there? Bill: Yup, how about there? Me: Yup. (14 minutes of awkward silence...) Click.
Probably wouldn't try to talk to him about basketball if I happened to meet him somewhere. I've had a few conversations with celebrities in the past and always try to steer the subject away from whatever has made them famous. They probably get tired of the same old subject and questions. Had a great chat with Clint Eastwood about golf a long while back. We talked about slicing (and how not to). He seemed to appreciate not having to talk about acting.
