Deer burgers and deer chili. Lots of uses for venison! Need to have an unlimited season on them and thin out the herd. Too many deer--car collisions.

LIKE!! I've hit two of the horned rodents over the years.

I'm amazed by the number of people who have had multiple deer collisions. I've been driving for 40 years and have probably reached a million miles by now (quit counting about 25 years ago and it was 200,000 then) and haven't hit anything bigger than a bird. I have hit two of those, though. Doesn't anyone else look to the sides of the road to see if there are critters out there?

Grind a pork shoulder with venison and it makes a splendid breakfast sausage.

Jerky is always good... Deer steak stew is also excellent.

Deer is very good when prepared properly. Its lean, thus healthy. If proper care is taken when field dressing, butchering and cooking deer, it is very tasty. Even if you dont process your own, you can deffinatly save on the grocery bill. I know I have been eating deer for almost 3 weeks now and Its deffinatly paid for itself

Had some tasty venison summer sausage in AZ one year. Don't know if things have changed, but used to be you had to buy a hunting lottery ticket to see if you would get to hunt.

Don't know if they still have it, but Cabela's used to serve caribou sandwiches. Mmm, mmm, good.

Have had deer, bear, raccoon, rabbit, squirrel..... it's all good! Wish I had a freezer full of venison right now.

Pay for my game tag and this is easily taken care of. Antlerless season coming up.

Yes!! Yummy! I substitute ground venison in all of my ground meat recipes. It makes wonderful chili and great meatballs for spaghetti too.

I love venison. For several years I was on the Jefferson County call list for deer that had been hit by cars and had to be put down. Now I can't dress one out by myself so I no longer get any. Sure miss it.
