Depends on what you mean by milk, and what you mean by drink. I'll use soy or goat milk for cereal and in recipes that work with soy or goat milk, but don't just have a glass of either one, and almost never use cow milk for anything. I lost my taste for cow milk about 20 years ago, and now I think it smells spoiled even when it apparently isn't.

does PETA have issue with milk too? spoiled milk is great for cooking..mind you, not to spoiled, just when it starts to smell sort of funny.

do not drink 2 % you need the fat content in dairy for the calcium to be good so 2% is just like water no nutrients...cut back on fat somewhere else dut not dairy. yes i drink about a half gallon a day.

Hate milk. I will drink it in cereal if I have it, but you won't catch me drinking a class of milk. I'd rather suffer thirst then drink a class of milk. Nasty tasting stuff and smell bad too.

I get my dairy product from the cheese on my pizza.

I drink Silk soy milk, both the regular and the chocolate, and I think both tastes great. I like to put it in the microwave and warm it up.
I am opposed to drinking dairy milk because of the great harm done to cows.
I know for a fact that I am getting all of the calcium and vitamin D that my body requires.

thank god that milk was picked as the animal's gift for us and not the bull's juice

Roy: "Hey, I hope you don't mind, I got up a little early, so I took the liberty of milking your cow for you. Yeah, it took a little while to get her warmed up, she sure is a stubborn one, whew"

Mr. Boorg: "We don't have a cow. We have a bull"

Multi, I like the picture, that is what cow milk is for, the calves. I wish I had those lashes.
    :-)

Oh my god, I just saw the happy cow commercial for California dairy, and I'm a little creeped out now.

  23. 9070811 (anonymous) says…

Irish, we could have a soymilk party together!

I am in love Silk. Absolutely in love. I drink the plain and occasionally have the chocolate. The vanilla flavor is good for coffee.

Cow milk creeps me out because I'd be drinking another animal's breastmilk. If you drink cow's milk take a moment to imagine yourself sucking on an udder.
If you're going to drink cow's milk, I suggest you drink organic. Otherwise that plastic gallon you're purchasing is 1/3 puss.

I think when I have babies, after breastmilk, they're going to drink rice milk.

  24. Irish (Leslie Swearingen) says…

9070811 try making International Brands coffee with soy milk. that is good! The mocha is good with chocolate milk.

  25. lwctown (anonymous) says…

    I eat Milk Duds.

  26. George_Braziller (anonymous) says…

I absolutely HATE milk as a beverage. I didn't even like it when I was a kid. A few times a year I buy a quart for cooking if I know I'll need it. The unused part usually ends going down the drain after it has soured in the fridge.

  27. LarryNative (anonymous) says…

Rice Milk. Cow's milk makes you fat hence the reason it is used for calves to become cows. Also, all the steroids give's a guy man boobs. Hey, I love boobs but I've got access to them via my wife, I don't think I want my own set.

  28. majiktami (anonymous) says…

i buy only organic dairy. does that mean i am getting less puss?

  29. Mixolydian (anonymous) says…

I grew up on nothing but whole milk, straight from the dairy to our front porch.

The last 20 years have been nothing but store bought skim.

When I drink whole milk now it tastes like buttermilk, blech.

  30. ifuonlyknew (anonymous) says…

I <3 Milk.... mmmmmmm, so good!

  31. denak (anonymous) says…

Yes, absolutely. I love milk. I drink skim milk and chocolate skim milk.

The kids drink whole milk especially if they are between the age of 1-5.

I had one foster son that was lactose intolerant and he liked Silk soy milk. We called it his "special milk."

When my niece was learning to talk, she would sometimes like regular milk and sometimes chocolate milk. When she asked for it, though, she asked for either chockamilk, or Reagan milk. We thought it was pretty amusing.

  33. Pywacket (anonymous) says…

Not a glass of the stuff, unless it's chocolate--and very cold. I put milk in my tea, like any good Brit.

Beyond that, I get my calcium from broccoli, cheese, Greek yogurt, and ice cream. And the occasional can of sardines. When all those things exist, why drink a glass of that tongue-coating stuff? Bleah!

This time of year, I use whole milk and half & half to make egg nog, which is nothing like that gummy, oversweetened store-bought stuff. My kids love our home-made egg nog.

  34. davidsmom (anonymous) says…

    Skim chocolate post-run.

  35. riverdrifter (anonymous) says…

    A quart every other day.

Nothing like chugging a bunch of ice-cold chocolate milk to cure a hangover.

  36. Newell_Post (anonymous) says…

Ice cold 1%. A small glass right before bed and sleep like a baby.
