Ku grew into a more modern university under his leadership. The addition of the parking garage, the bus system upgrade, and the new multi-cutural student center are my favorite additions to KU. This university will always be OLD KU, but he is a true leader that is willing to give you a smile (when walking down Jayhawk Boulevard). The former Chancellor as an English professor, now that is scary.Thank you for your service.

The parking garage is owned by parking services - an affiliate of KU - it's a separate entity .. I don't know that he had much to do with that .. same with the bus system upgrade ..The multi-cultural students center is a great addition .. but again .. don't know that he had much to do with it other than giving a stamp of approval.

he has done wonderful things since being at kuimproved facilitiesimproved athletics - 2007/08 best KU sports season everimproved academicsand even improved attendanceGive the guy some credit, he has done wonderful things for KU as a whole, and has served through some hard times. Times when other people would have stepped down, and passed the problem onto someone else!

I would not give him one ounce of credit for the Orange Bowl or National Championship.......

so you wouldn't give him credit for hiring Bill Self, or re-hiring ManginoOr maybe even bringing in Lew Perkins, he doesn't get credit for any of that, I wonder who does than chapdaddy, since your all knowing, and lawrenecks66 your "whatever" response...childish, what has he done so wrong in your eyes, don't think you would have done any better of a job

I gave him a B. Overall, I think he did a good job but the tuition keeps going up and up and up. When it is my son's turn to go to college in 2 years, I am really wondering how we are going to pay for it all.I know that the cost of tuition isn't completely in his control but still, I think in the quest to make it a top 10 public university, the ability to pay for it by the middle and lower class is being sacraficed.

LeBo, to the best of my knowledge, he's continued to teach classes up to just a few semesters ago. Friendly face of the University in a position that, let's be honest, few of us know anything about. He represented the University positively and strived to advance its goals.
