how about:

"Horrible - he thinks abortion and gay marriage are key issues"

This lunatic doesn't stand a chance

His prospects are bad, not because of lack of money or name recognition. They're bad because he does not in any way represent a majority of U.S. citizens.

"Rolling Stone" had a very interesting and scary article about him several months ago.

I'll toss out my own answer to this, without answering this poorly-worded survey:

"Bad--his extremist views on abortion and same-sex marriage will appeal to hardcore Evangelicals and Catholics, and not much else."

Bad, and not because he needs more money and name recognition. He's an extremist and a rightwinger. Hasn't this country had enough of warmongers and bigots running our country?

Verrry interesting. This got removed when the comment portion was eliminated the other day but the post still showed up when I did the search. The comment section is back sooooo here it is again and maybe there it goes again. Too much time on my hands today it seems.

Bad-name your reason(s). I know his name( that is the guy from ks, isn't it) and don't care if he manages to raise money and never have nor will I vote for him.

That answer is a scientific opinion which I choose to share!

You gotta be kidding! What kind of push poll are you running? I vote for "good, he'll attract the far right to ensure a democrat becoming president in 2008."

but then again, a sound defeat might send back into the hole he crawled out of!!!

voted "undecided because none of the first two options represent my opinion:

"bad, he has already lost the support of conservative republicans for his illegal immigration votes."

He could become president, then we can rename Mt. Oread "Brownback Mountain". Considering the demographics of KU, that would be scary. (Brownback Mountain that is)

What about "Too much of right-wing nightmare," or "Represents the Adolph/Benito wing of the party." or "Hasn't got a snowball's chance outside of Kansas"?

Brownback doesn't even need to run for president. He'd be in the same class as the present one, which is to say, the absolute worst we've ever had!

I think it's good that Brownback is running. He'll attract the votes of those religious conservatives who don't think that the pope is the Anti-Christ and split the fundy forces. He'll bring Opus Dei flagellants into the mainstream.

Bloody self-abuse: It's not just for Iraqi Shi'ite marchers anymore.

sammy will need a LOT more than money to convince anyone he's anything more than than the embarrassment to thinking Kansan's he's proven himself to be throughout his political career.

"Bad" doesn't begin to cover, and not for lack of money and name recognition. He's an out of date Puritan living in the past. His "conservative" values are self-serving and impractical to say the least. Give it up Brownie.

He would do nothing but continue to divide the nation as Bush has done for over six years. This is not the way forward this would set us back about 120 years, in terms of national unity. I am talking Yankee vs. Confederate. These Neo-Cons only are happy when every issue appears to be split 50/50 on some pie chart. Polarization is their cup-of-tea.

The answers do not illicit an accruate response. Its sort of a head's I wind tails you lose set of options.

He has lots of name recognition across the county. He can probably get lots of money. But that does not equate to a successful run. His far right positions and unilateral thinking are probably his biggest liability, not asset, at this point.

I don't think he has a chance, but not for the reasons given in the survey.

In this poll even the "GOOD" is BAD, enough is enough. I am tired of politicians running on religion. I for one would not support him under such circumstances
