What do three musician friends do for fun? They form a trio, of course.
Ellen Bottorff (piano), Annie Gnojek (flute) and Margaret Marco (oboe) have known each other for a decade, but they only recently formed Allegresse, a trio playing a wide-ranging repertoire of music.
In this week's Pulse Podcast the three Lawrence musicians with ties to KU talk about their new group, how their friendship affects their music and how they're going about getting the word out about themselves. The trio performs at 5 p.m. Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church, 701 S.W. Eighth St. in Topeka.
After that, hear about some of the other arts and entertainment events going on in Lawrence this weekend in our weekly Best Bets feature.
