Patrick Rea says his latest film, "The Empty Acre," fits in the horror genre, but he also calls it "quiet."
That means no torturing, and no blood or gore.
The film screens at 7:30 tonight at the Kanzafest film festival in Atchison. It's at the Theatre Atchison, 401 Santa Fe St.
Rea, who directed the film, talks about the movie, the horror movie genre and the Kansas film industry in this week's Pulse Podcast.
