Songs about a Ft. Riley ghost, Quantrill's raid on Lawrence and scenes from the plains fill "Prairie Glimpses," a CD with 16 new songs about Kansas and Kansas history.
This week's Pulse Podcast features an interview with Diane Gillenwater, a fiddler and composer who helped produce the new CD. You can also hear three songs off the album.
The CD's songs are performed by musicians from across the state, including Alferd Packer Memorial String Band, Terri Laddusaw and Michael Paull.
Also, find out what's going on in Lawrence the next few days in our weekly Best Bets section.
