A strong surge of moisture will provide the fuel for thunderstorms to quickly develop and overspread the area. Some of these storms could dump torrential rainfall. With saturated soils, water will quickly run off into area watersheds. Flash Flood Watches are in effect for the area through Thursday morning. A quick 1-3" of rain is not out of the question Thursday, with highs around 70 degrees. Storm chances will carry right on into Thursday and Thursday night. At this point, severe weather looks to be isolated.
