House will not override coal plant veto

Coal plant debate: House speaker Melvin Neufeld on Wednesday declared there would be no attempt to override Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' veto of legislation that would have authorized construction of two 700-megawatt coal-fired power plants.
Tornado sirens: Douglas County Emergency Management and county commissioners decided sirens will sound the next time the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning for Douglas County.
