Temperatures struggle again to make it into the 50's. We will see some sunshine and a light North breeze at 5-10 mph bringing our high today to 50 degrees. A chance of showers late this evening dropping the overnight low to 36 degrees with the wind shifting out of the East 5-10 mph. In the news: Lawrence residents want more recreational facilities, including an ice rink, expanded gambling becomes law, but that won't stop opponents from still trying to kill it, Lawrence Art Auction coming this Saturday, and sports feature on a local man named Mickey Mantle making his first trip to Yankees Stadium.
