A new fishing hold opens to the public this weekend. More than one and a half million books will have a new home on the west side of town. It's back to work for Lawmakers. They returned to the Capitol Wednesday after a three-week spring break. The interwoven and often times complicated aspects of domestic violence were highlighted Wednesday night during a panel discussion at KU. On campus Wednesday, the brother of a woman who's name won't soon be forgotten.
Set your alarm clocks Saturday morning, that's when the downtown Lawrence Farmer's Market opens in a new and larger location. The KU baseball team finished up play in the best of the Midwest challenge Wednesday. Jayhawks faced Creighton at Community America Ballpark. Five games into the season, the Lawrence High ladies were undefeated, but since then LHS has come back to earth losing four of its last five.
