When asked about his impression upon seeing the pig, Jones said, "It's the first time I've ever seen anybody walk a pig. You know, but he's friendly and goes about his business." In mid-January of 2012 the Lawrence city commission agreed to allow potbellied pigs as a pet under the city code. On the cover: The garden of Jill Bogard will be featured on this year’s Master Gardeners Garden Tour. The garden’s key features are its natural woodland setting, outdoor rooms and entertainment space. This year’s tour will be June 1 and 2.
The Bogards have incorporated a small patio area within a natural wooded space along the side of their home.
