This is the living room area at the $2 million, 12,000-square-foot Neuvant House of Lawrence. The facility has room for 14 residents who will have their own private bedrooms and bathrooms. The residents will share the living room, kitchen and courtyard areas. There's even a whirlpool.

Dr. Mark Praeger, a longtime Lawrence surgeon, far left, is honored for serving on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital's Board of Trustees for nine years. Joe Flannery, chairman of the board, presented Praeger with a plaque this morning (Jan. 20) during the board's monthly meeting in LMH's auditorium.
