This is the living room area at the $2 million, 12,000-square-foot Neuvant House of Lawrence. The facility has room for 14 residents who will have their own private bedrooms and bathrooms. The residents will share the living room, kitchen and courtyard areas. There's even a whirlpool.
Workers put away items in the kitchen at Neuvant House of Lawrence, a new Alzheimer's and memory care facility. It is expected to open for business next week.

Dr. Mark Praeger, a longtime Lawrence surgeon, far left, is honored for serving on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital's Board of Trustees for nine years. Joe Flannery, chairman of the board, presented Praeger with a plaque this morning (Jan. 20) during the board's monthly meeting in LMH's auditorium. Praeger became an employee of the hospital on Jan. 1, so he is no longer eligible to serve on the board. At the table, from left: Gloria Pringle, secretary to the president; The Rev.
