Lynne Green, founder of Van Go Inc., talks with Shade Keys Little, husband of recently retired KU chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, as Little sits on a gift bench presented to him during an unveiling ceremony Friday, July 21, 2017 at Van Go, 715 New Jersey St. The bench was made by summer JAMS artist Zakari Howard and was one of 20 benches made by summer JAMS employees — teens hired to work and learn for eight weeks as part of the organization's Benchmark program in which artists are paired with a local client to design and create a custom bench. Benches will be on display through July 28. Van Go Inc. is an arts-based social service and job-training nonprofit for at-risk youths ages 14-24.
