Fourth- and fifth-graders at Lawrence’s Sunflower Elementary added finishing touches to their gingerbread structures on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2017, as part of this year’s Gingerbread STEM Community & Makerspace Global Project. The engineering challenge encourages students to recreate, with gingerbread and other edible materials, local landmarks from their hometowns and share their creations with other K-12 classrooms around the globe.
