The Old Boys Club, a coffee klatch that meets Monday through Friday mornings at a 23rd Street doughnut shop, includes among its members retired law enforcement officer Dallas Murphy and retired barber Roger Evers. Ladies from Immanuel Lutheran Church completed 55 quilts this year to be shipped by Lutheran World Relief in October to those in need of warmth and comfort around the world. Lutheran World Relief's goal in 2013 is 500,000 quilts. Jeannie Merritt submitted the photo.

WOLF (Women of Lawrence Film) is a new organization of female filmmakers in Lawrence with the mission of collaborating, supporting and educating women in the art and craft of filmmaking. The group shot a promotional video to raise money for its collaborative short film, Threads.
