These five Scouts achieved Eagle, Boy Scouting’s highest rank, in 2012. They started out together as Tiger Cubs in the same Cub Scout Den. Their parents are MaryAnn and Jay Morris, Jeanne and Dave Williams, Julie and Curtis Lesslie, and Allyn and Bruce Elliott. Maria Martin announces The Drury-Ditto Duet Fashion Show to benefit The Willow Domestic Violence Center on April 19 at Drury Place at Alvamar. Alina Zheng, a 14-year-old valedictorian senior at Free State High, performs “Swan,” by Saint-Saens at Carnegie Hall on May 27, 2012, as the winner of American Protégé International Piano and String Competition. Alina is also the winner of 2013 American Protégé International Concerto Competition and will perform “Cello Concerto in D Major,” by Haydn, at Carnegie Hall this year on May 27. The Honorable John Lungstrum, U.S. district judge for Kansas, described the role of the federal judiciary to a packed room of New Generation Society of Lawrence members at the KU Continuing Education Building on March 26.
