Bob Silipigni from the Relay For Life of Douglas County was the 2012 American Cancer Society top individual fundraiser in the state of Kansas as well as in the High Plains Division, which includes Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Hawaii. Puma FC is one of the top five soccer clubs playing in the Heartland Soccer league. The girls pictured play in the U8 through U11 divisions, and all players are from Lawrence. Most of the girls are coached by Riny de Boer. They play indoor and outdoor soccer year-round in Overland Park and Olathe, but most are trained in Lawrence.
