Friends & Neighbors for October 2012

Lawrence Boy Scout Troop 52 visited the boyhood home of Dwight D. Eisenhower in Abilene on Aug. 4 to learn more about the 34th president and his military career. Scouts, along with their leaders, spent the day touring the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum to complete the six rocker requirements for the Eisenhower Leadership Patch, which can be worn on their uniforms. Troop 52 is chartered with First United Methodist Church and its Scoutmaster is Jace Newman. Assistant Scoutmaster John Milburn submitted the photo.
