Kansas prison photo of Gerald V. Ashworth, who was removed from a Wichita Boy Scout troop in 1968 after several criminal arrests were revealed. In 1994, Ashworth was convicted in Sedgwick County of kidnapping, rape, sexually battery and aggravated incest. Ashworth’s earliest date of parole is March 2014.

Kansas prison photo of William Henry Goatley, who was removed from a Arkansas City Boy Scout troop in 1968 after he was arrested and charged with soliciting a minor for sexual purposes in Cowley County. Goatley was convicted in Cowley County on at least three sexual offense against children charges between 1993 nd 2001. He was in and out of prison between 1995 and 2004, and died in prison in January 2004, according to state records.

Kansas prison photo of Allan Michael Fry, convicted in Salina in 1995 of raping an 11-year-old boy. Fry was issued a subpoena in the civil lawsuit against an Illinois sex offender who had ties to Fry in the 1980s. Fry, once released from a Kansas prison, was arrested on federal child pornography charges in 2010. He is awaiting sentencing in that case.

Kansas prison photo of Justin Dean Wires, who was convicted of child pornography in 2004. Wires was issued a subpoena in a civil suit against an Illinois sex offender who lived in Salina in the 1980s. Wires invoked his Fifth Amendment rights against self incrimination during the deposition.

Kansas prison photo of James Douglas Jackson, 72. According to files released last week by the Boy Scouts of America, Jackson — convicted in Douglas County in 2001 of several sex crimes — was removed from a Kansas City, Kan.-area Boy Scout unit following allegations that Jackson sexually assaulted a boy during a scouting trip.
