Katelyn Hammer received the first-place award for sixth-graders in the Kansas Foundation for Agriculture statewide poster competition. Katelyn attends Veritas Christian School. She and her parents, Gary and Julie Hammer of Lawrence, at far left, met Gov. Sam Brownback, state Rep. Barbara Ballard, D-Lawrence, center, and state Sen.
