Friends & Neighbors for June 2012
Unitarian youths decorate the grave site of Charles and Sarah Robinson in Oak Hill Cemetery for Memorial Day. Charles was a founder of Lawrence and was the first governor of Kansas. The first Robinson Gymnasium at Kansas University, named for the Robinsons, was built on land Charles originally owned, according to KU’s website.
