Jen Unekis is the featured artist of this year's Douglas County AIDS Project Art Auction. This year, DCAP hopes to raise more than $33,500 through a silent auction and live auction of donated work from a variety of accomplished local artists.

Buzz Moran serves as the sound effects designer for "The Intergalactic Menace," a live-action graphic novel that comes to the Lied Center Oct. 29.

Steve Frost, a dental assistant at Douglas County Dental Clinic, holds up a couple of collection boxes for this year's "Trick or Treat for America's Toothfairy" fundraiser. The clinic encourages kids to collect change at Halloween parties or while trick-or-treating and all of the money raised will provide scholarships for low-income Douglas County children who need dental work. To participate, stop by the clinic at 316 Maine.
