In late January, Health Care Access added three new staff members and expanded the clinic's hours. Now the clinic is able to schedule same-day appointments for qualified patients, and no longer has to turn away requests for urgent care appointments. New hires from left are Patricia Neis, nurse practitioner, Brenda Waite, registered nurse, and Marie Daniels, office assistant.

Girl Scout Cadettes, ages 11 and 12, from Troop 7535, prepare to ride the “T” from the west side of town to downtown Lawrence on Tuesday to experience and learn how to use public transportation. The troop is made up of scouts from Langston Hughes, Sunflower and Corpus Christi Catholic schools.
