Entry No. 60: "St. Luke A.M.E. Church," by George, 12 and up. George's description: "St. Luke A.M.E. Church is a historical landmark — 900 New York — attended by Langston Hughes. Built in 1910." Removing the roof allows people to look inside the sanctuary. The entry is part of a Lego contest at The Toy Store, 936 Mass.

Lawrence Police Capt. Ray Urbanek, 52, has been on the force for nearly 27 years and is set to retire Friday. A reception in his honor will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday in the jury assembly room in the basement of the Lawrence Douglas County Judicial and Law Enforcement Center, 111 E. 11th St.
